November 28, 2009 – Before watching Surreli’s Gig at SM Marikina, we went to TOSH (The Old Spaghetti House) to eat one of our favorite desserts COLOSSAL CHOCO-CHIP COOKIE A LA MODE. We also got their classic FRIED MOZZARELLA STICKS because we’re just matakaw!

BUDGET: 120 – 150 per plate (merienda)

SHE thinks:

1. A perfect fusion of heaven and hell! I love myself for discovering the Colossal Choco-Chip Cookie a la mode!

2. Hot sizzling cookie dough oozing with milk chocolate topped with vanilla ice cream = HEAVEN!!!

3. The mozzarella sticks were okay. J

HE thinks:

1. Didn’t like the mozzarella cheese as much. It was too expensive for such cheap food.

2. The Colossal Choco-chip cookie ala mode however made my day. It was a good experience mixing freshly baked dough on a hot plate with chocolate syrup and vanilla ice cream on top. A definite MUST.

WE think:

COLOSSAL CHOCO-CHIP COOKIE is a 4 out of 5. Everything else is a 3 J

We were too eager to order and eat that we that we missed out on TOSH’s new menu. The CARBONARA WRAP and TOMATO and CHEESE FONDUE is a must try! NEXT TIME!

November 26 2009 -- Because of Piyar's post-hospital food cravings, we decided to graze the streets of Morato to find the perfect restaurant! And alas, we found iRepublik, Ilocandia Grill. We ordered the BAGNET ADOBO THREESOME and PAKBET. Here are our views:

Budget: 200 - 300 per dish.

SHE thinks:

1. I think its the best THREESOME ever! Adobo rice, topped with Adobo Flakes and Deep Fried Bagnet may be a heart attack on plate, but its worth it! Haha!

2. iRepublik is not the place to be if you're on a diet! (Most especially if you're a sucker for Pinoy Food)

3. The PAKBET was delish! I'm not really a fan of okra EXCEPT for this dish.

4. Expect BABOY REFLEX!

HE thinks:

1. Its a good place for Pinoy food but not the BEST. (Kanin Club Rocks!)

2. Its worth your money if you're hungry.

3. Will try their seafood next time.. It looks good.

4. Of course, the BAGNET is a must.

WE think:

3 out of 5 STARS. Its good value for money. (and we love the Ilocos Suka! Yum!)

CHEESE PIMIENTO CRAZE!

We are indeed lucky cause we personally know the real "Chiz Whiz". Lola Cory (Piyar's Lola) makes the most delicious Cheese Pimiento spread in the world! With the perfect mix of grated cheese, diced pimiento and heaps of love, every bite is a chunk from heaven.
