The SURPRISING Grub Experience! (GRUB-E!)

Nana's Cheesy Burger.. or something. Haha!

BUDGET: 200 – 300 PER MEAL

January 2, 2010 - The Grub Flame Grilled Burgers is a new fast food burger joint that caught our attention.. or better yet.. our appetite. It just so happens that we found this newly opened place when we were craving for something new or something we haven’t tasted before. New year kasi di ba? Its just serendipity.. We think. Eh?

SHE THINKS:

If you’re still too guilty about the pounds you just gained during the holidays, I suggest you don’t go to this burger place.

Let me tell you why…

The place is just a simple burger joint with a touch of a typical American diner during the 60’s. The ambiance is not that impressive, but the service crew was... quite interesting HAHA! (Sa amin na lang ni Andrew yun HAHA!). The food choices were few (again, NEWLY OPENED haha) so I just got their cheese burger which was called Nana’s Grub.. or something like that haha! Its quite pricy for a 1/3 pound burger. And I also think that the add 25 promo for extra fries (10 pieces @_@) is not worth it. At first glance, the burger was not really that appetizing. I was expecting to experience the BURGER… to hear the it sizzle ones it hits the grill.. or to smell the it’s beefy aroma ones it gets between the burger buns (ooh lala). But surprisingly, when I got a bite from it, it was just average.. for NEW grill burger joint ha! The juice of the beef and the melted cheese were oozing from the sides of the burger bun! But then, you can still experience the same “burger high” if you bite into one of those yummy, yet cheaper, burger machine burgers! )

So.. if you don’t want to add 1/3 pound on your current holiday fat filled body and don’t want to drain that already Christmas bankrupt wallet, don’t go to this place HAHA!

HE THINKS:

Too much money spent on mediocrity… There are a lot of other burger joints with the same price range that would give better value for your money. If they would lower their price to about 100-150 pesos, then it would be something to talk about.

WE THINK:

2 out of 5 stars. Its just average for a new place. at Grub-e.. ang mahal!
